What is the good CUET score that will help you enter Delhi University? How has NTA normalized your raw scores?
What must be done by the students after the announcement of CUET results?
As there is no common counselling to fill the seats, the result data will be available to the 90 universities that adopted CUET for admission to their undergraduate programs. Thus, the NTA has no role from here on. The students should visit the admission portals of the universities they are interested in taking admissions. Students must fill in the online applications along with the necessary documents. The scores of the students will be given to the participating universities for verification.
What is a good CUET score to land on a desired program and DU college of my choice?
Since this is the first year of DU admitting students through an entrance test, there is no idea of what kind of CUET scores are likely to feature on the merit lists of various programs. Looking at the high number of students with 100 percentile in the English paper, nothing is known about the merit lists as it is determined with a combination of subjects.
Can I challenge my CUET results?
To challenge your results, there is no formal way. However, candidates can mail their grievances to cuetgrievance@nta.ac.in, ak@cuet.nta.ac.in and cuetug@nta.ac.in. Students can also write to NTA for grievances related to results. For admission-related grievances, students need to first write to the University where they have applied. Students can also lodge their complaints on the E-Samadhan portal of UGC for redressal if the issue is not solved.
How will my CUET score determine my admission?
Every participating university will prepare a merit list based on the CUET scores of the applicants. Different ways are adopted by different universities for arriving at merit. Delhi University will calculate the merit of a candidate by adding the normalized marks of the four subjects stated under the eligibility criteria of a given program. However, the universities and colleges will use normalized marks and not percentile.
What is the reason for normalising marks?
Normalizing marks provides a level playing field for the students as they have written the same subject on different days.
What role do my class 12 marks have in admission to a university?
Class 12 board marks have only a little importance. Some universities like the DU will use Board Exam marks as the last resort when there is a tie.
When will my college begin?
Universities may take up to six weeks to finalize the results. Four merit lists will be released at the minimum until the seats are filled. The new academic session may start in the last week of October or the first week of November.
