This will help employees identify the skills necessary for their careers. The report features the top 10 skills that have grown exponentially in 2021. Moreover, it shows the top rising skills across popular jobs and industries today.

As per data from the Future of Skills 2022 report, these are the evolving skills in various industries and job sectors.
Corporate Services
Skills have changed an average of 41.6%. The rise in popularity of skills is reflected by the change in the financial landscape such as GST, TDS and Income Tax. However, in 2015 skills like team and vendor management, negotiation and recruitment were popular.
Software and IT Services
Skills have changed an average of 29.9%. There is an addition in the knowledge of new tools, software, languages and cloud computing platforms. Manual Testing is another upcoming skill in the IT sector.
Media and communications
Skills have changed an average of 26.1%. Skills like Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Digital Marketing, Web Content Writing, Blogging, Social Media Marketing, Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Social Media Optimization (SMO) dominate the list. Moreover, avenues are opened for non-English speaking professionals in the industry.
Consumer goods
Skills have changed an average of 34.4%. Tally ERP and Management Information Systems are the rising software skills in the industry.
Healthcare
Skills have changed an average of 30.2%. Pharmacovigilance and Good Clinical Practice are the top growing skills that indicate a growing consideration for safety, integrity and well-being. Clinical Research is another flourishing industry.
Manufacturing
Skills have changed an average of 25.8%. Software skills like SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD are mainly rising skills in the manufacturing industry along with other skills like Production Planning, 7QC Tools, PPAP and 5S which help in process improvement.
Hardware and Networking
Skills have changed an average of 32.5%. Telecommunications is a rising skill along with the top 3 languages which include Python, Core Java and C. Linux and Kubernetes have become the Operating System of choice.
Finance
Skills have changed an average of 28.4%. New Skills include Branch Banking and Branch Operations feature which indicate a focus on offline service. Banking software Finacle is the only banking software skill on the list.
Education
Skills have changed an average of 33.5%. Rising skills include programming language skills such as C++, Python, C, HTML, CSS and Java. Machine Learning is a new skill in demand due to the growing interest in AI across industries.
