The Unified District Information System for Education Plus has reported that the drop of the boys in the primary classes and the secondary level is greater and the drop out of girls in the upper primary classes is greater in the year 2019-2020.
The overall dropout rate in the primary level is 1.5%, Upper Primary Level is 1.8% and secondary level is 17% throughout the country.
The report states that around 30% of the students do not move from the secondary level to senior secondary level even though the Indian School Education System is one of the largest in the world.
