The application process begins at Mumbai University – Check the date for the first merit list

The schedule must be adhered to by all the affiliated colleges of Mumbai University as it is mandatory. Generally, the affiliated colleges of Mumbai University intake students on the basis of HSC marks. However, entrance examinations are held by some popular colleges. The Mithibai College and N M College are also considering the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) this year for admissions. In the first half of June, Xavier’s Entrance Test (XET) will be conducted for admissions to St Xavier’s College.

Admission schedule of Mumbai University

The admission schedule for the academic year 2023-2024 was released by Mumbai University for the degree programs. This development has been made following the declaration of the MSBSHSE HSC results. From May 27 to June 12 of this year, students can fill out the admission form. This can be done in both online and offline formats.

Mandatory Pre-registration is to be done

It is mandatory for the students to register for the Mumbai University pre-registration irrespective of the course and college in the city. This is because an important role will be played by the registration number in the admission process of Mumbai University’s affiliated colleges. The pre-enrollment will also be done in an online mode with the commencement of the admission process of Mumbai University on May 27.

In-house and minority quota admission

At the respective colleges, in-house and minority quota admissions will take place. The admission schedule at Mumbai University has stated that by June 19, the first merit list will be declared. Moreover, students will get time till June 27 to confirm their admission. Similarly, on June 28, the second merit list will be out. Also, by July 5, students will have to confirm their admission process. Finally, the third and final merit list will be declared on July 6.

Consideration of CUET UG 2023
