Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics was established in 1913 in small and borrowed premises and was then shifted to the present area in 1955 in which is located at present in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The College is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade and has scored a CGPA of 3.42 on a four-point scale.
The College is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and it is one of the constituent colleges of Dr. Homi Bhabha Cluster University.

The College consists of an online exam centre which is equipped with 50 computers and one server for conducting internal examinations and other competitive tests. This centre is set up to help the students appear in online exams and prepare themselves for competitive exams.
Students take part in various sports activities and the campus is equipped with all the necessary amenities such as a basketball court, volleyball court, Cricket ground, Football ground, Handball ground and a multi-station Gymnasium which facilitates indoor games like chess, carrom and table tennis.
