Students go for plan B due to delays in CUET results

Candidates who wish to secure admission to State universities opt for other plans as there is a delay in CUET results.

Students who have been dreaming to secure admissions to top universities such as DU are considering seeking admission to private universities. This is due to the constant delays in the examination schedule and the uncertainty over the result declaration.

The CUET, which was scheduled to be conducted in two phases, ended up being conducted over six phases. This was due to technical glitches. 2.86 lakh candidates appeared for the exam in the final phase. 12.04 lakh candidates appeared in the first five phases of the exam.

No News on Results

The National Testing Agency is yet to announce the date for the result declaration while DU has not yet launched its admission portal. Students who appeared for CUET are rethinking admission plans as the academic session has begun in many State and Private universities.

Expensive affair

Though admissions to private colleges are an expensive affair, they are a safe alternative to Central universities. By the time of results, the admissions to state and public universities will end. Under this condition, if the student does not secure a good CUET score, they will lose the academic year.

No other choice

Some students, however, have no choice but to wait for the results due to the financial crisis. They do not have a choice but to secure a seat in a good Central University.
