- A new National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) list for various categories was released on September 9, 2021, by current Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The Rankings constitute categories such as Engineering, architecture, dental, medical, Pharmacy, Management, etc.
- In the NIRF 2021 overall college ranking category, IIT Madras and IISc Bengaluru have secured the top two positions respectively, followed by IIT Bombay holding the third position.
