Shivaji College was established in the year 1961 and the goal of the institution is to provide quality education to the children of rural areas. The college offers various courses including graduate and Post-graduate in the field of Science, Humanities and Commerce. Placement Cell
Shivaji College has a placement cell that stays active throughout the year and provides numerous internships as well as placements. The cell acts as a link between the corporate world and the students. Every year many prestigious companies like HCL, Infosys, Wipro, Indigo, HDFC Bank visit the campus and recruit the maximum number of students. Several workshops including mock interviews, one on one session, guest lectures are also conducted by them to prepare the students before they sit for the final interview.
The internship helps the students to know more about the corporate world and it build their CVs as well. Shivaji College has a tie-up with several placement cells to provide ample opportunities to the students.
Women’s Development Cell
Shivaji College has a women’s development cell that works throughout the year and it aims to remove gender inequality from the society. The cell conducts several workshops in different places in order to enlighten people especially women of weak sections so that they can stand for their rights. They want to bridge the gap between the powerful men section and the weak women section of the society.
