- The Tamil Nadu Government has planned to reopen the schools for Classes 9 to 12 and medical colleges on September 1 with 50 percent accommodation. The Government has released guidelines that are to be followed by the students and staff.
- Students and staff who are eligible must be vaccinated and entry will be prohibited for symptomatic students, teachers or non-teaching staff. The Schools in Tamil Nadu will be screened within one week of reopening
- Social distancing must be ensured in the classroom, offices and staff room and there must be a six feet gap between the students. School premises and school vehicles must be well sanitized and schools are allowed to use temporary outdoor spacings as classrooms.
