Reopening of Educational Institutes State and Central

As the Covid-19 trend is decreasing across India, several states and Union territories are planning to reopen their schools and other educational institutions. The decision will be taken after reviewing the situation of the Covid-19 crisis. 

States such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Telangana have planned to reopen their educational institutions from July 1. Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir governments are yet to take their decision regarding reopening. Schools in Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Karnataka and Maharashtra will continue to function in online mode.

In the meantime, the teachers and other staff attached to educational institutions are emphasized to be vaccinated and the necessary steps are being taken. The main purpose of the reopening of the schools is for the admission process and pending examination giving us a hint that students will not be asked to attend until the risk of the estimated Covid-19 third wave is not subdued.

However, the decision for re-opening of the education institutions nationwide will be taken by the Centre after considering the opinion from states and the Union Territories.
