- The Rajdhani College of Delhi University has decided to reduce its annual fees for various courses by Rs. 2010 for the academic session 2021-2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The annual fee was previously Rs. 3370 that is now reduced to Rs. 1360 for the second and third years.
- The relaxed amount is due to the reductions under various heads, such that, the extracurricular activity fee is reduced to Rs. 150 from Rs. 300 and the computer science fund is reduced to Rs. 500 from Rs. 1000. Similarly, the student activity fund is reduced to Rs. 510 from Rs. 1020 and reductions are included in sports funds and subject society funds.
- Students previously demanded a reduction in the annual fees due to the hardships faced in the pandemic and as the colleges were shut down and classes were conducted in online mode, the students did not use any resources provided by the college.
- A group of students protested and demanded the waiving of the non-academic fee charged by the institutions. Recently, Delhi University announced the reopening of colleges from September 15 for the final year students of UG and PG programs with 50% occupancy.
