On Tuesday, it was announced by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) the expansion of premium processing of Work Authorisation for other categories of international students. This expansion is exclusively for students who seek Optional Practical Training (OPT) and for students with F-1 visas seeking STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
Also, the expansion will be available for OPT extensions who have a pending Form I-765 and Application for Employment Authorization. These categories can request a premium processing upgrade. USCIS has been accepting Form I-907 requests since March 6 which have been filed either through a paper form or online. Also, requests have been accepted from certain F-1 students who already have a pending Form I-765 and application for employment authorization.
Authorization for STEM students

The faster processing of Form I-129 can be requested through form I-907.
Form I-907 can also be used to request the faster processing of Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker, Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers, Form I-140, and Application for Employment Authorization and Certain classifications of Form I-765. Also, The application for employment authorization can be done through Form I-765.
