Outstation students of DU need more time to travel
  • A part of the students’ state that the decision of Delhi University to resume offline academic activities from February 17 was a hurried one. They claim that the outstation students must be given more time to make their travel plans and arrange for accommodation.
  • A professor in Delhi University has started an online petition to the Vice-Chancellor urging him to switch from online classes to offline classes from March 17 after the Holi festival. Students and Parents have started making panic calls to their teachers stating their difficulty in making all the requirements to attend offline classes in such a short time.
  • Thousands of students responded to the petition within a few hours and the numbers are still growing. Another online petition to the vice-chancellor stated that final year students should be given the option of completing the remaining of their semester virtually and also stated the difficulty of the students to find accommodation in three-four days.
