Offline classes to resume in DU from February 17, 2022
  • After a period of two years, Delhi University will be reopening its campus for physical classes on February 17, 2022. After the Delhi Disaster Management Authority issued orders that higher education institutions can completely reopen for offline learning, students have been protesting for three days demanding the reopening of the campus.
  • Students held a victory rally across the campus as a celebration and those students who sat on a hunger strike were met by the DU Proctor and were appealed to end their protest. Students from outstations have been advised to plan their arrival so that they are able to complete their isolation period of three days before reporting to their colleges.
  • All Laboratories, libraries and canteens will also function from February 17. The All India Students Association stated that the decision is a hard-fought victory of the consistent AISA-led Reopen DU Movement.
