- The Government of Tripura issued an order stating the all-educational institutes in Tripura from classes 6 to higher education are to resume offline classes from 25 August 2021. Two separate guidelines have been released by the Government regarding the recommencement of classes at both the school level and higher educational level.
- Here are a few extracts from the guidelines released by the Department of Education with the approval of the State Disaster Management Authority:
- Offline classes from 6th to 12th standard are to be resumed from 25th August.
- Depending on the classroom infrastructure and space available, schools are to function in a single or double-shift format.
- An alternate seating arrangement is to be adopted in the classrooms.
- All basic COVID-19 precautions are to be strictly followed by both the students and the staff.
- Teachers of Classes 5th standard and below are to join the Catch-up campaign of the Nutun Disha Programme.
- All degree colleges, technical and professional colleges are also to resume classes by 25th August. Extra classes are to be arranged for the candidates if necessary so that all COVID-19 protocols can be strictly followed.
- Different or alternate time slots are to be adopted if there is a shortage of staff or unavailability of space.
- College hostels are to remain closed till September 1.
