Earlier, the Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council had postponed all government school examinations from the 10th standard to the 12th standard given the somber COVID-19 situation in the state. However, in a recent order passed by the Assam Board on 7th may, 2021 it was announced that the examinations for the higher secondary first year or class 11th standard which was scheduled to be held from May 4, 2021, priorly are now canceled and all students who had filled online application for the same will be henceforth promoted to class 12th standard or higher secondary second-year class.
This notification is only in regards to the higher secondary first-year examinations. Any official notification in regards to class 12th and class 10th examinations hasn’t been released yet.
