No COVID-19 Pandemic Excuse for the Students of West Bengal

The COVID-19 situation in India is currently very gloomy. As of recent times, India has seen a startling number of 4,12,431 new detected cases. The country’s dwellers are struggling to breathe due to Oxygen deficiency with a severe scarcity of accurate vaccination for all.

As part of all precautionary measures, many colleges and universities throughout the country have canceled or postponed their upcoming examinations. The same cannot be said for the students of West Bengal. Releasing an official notification, the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education has decided to conduct the class 12th board examinations as scheduled. 

The 12th exams, scheduled to be held between 15thJune-30th June 2021, will be conducted at respective home centers. Meaning, the examination centers for every student will be their respective schools and the exams will be conducted in the second half of the day. The examination timings were revised from 10:00am-1:15pm to 12:00pm-3:15 pm. Earlier, students were allotted their centers at different schools, however, as part of all precautionary measures, the board has decided to carry out the exams this time at home centers. The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education Board has declared that all COVID-19 protocols will be forced into effect and each student’s safety and health will be kept a priority.
