More students return to the Delhi University campus

More students return to the Delhi University campus
  • Students in Delhi University have been returning back to the campus on the second day of reopening in large numbers and authorities are seen ensuring Covid-19 appropriate behaviour. Teachers expressed hope that the attendance will increase in the coming week after the return of the hostellers.
  • This meant good news for cash-strapped eateries and canteens and the metro station near the university’s north campus saw many students entering and exiting its premises. The attendance was more than expected in these two days and outstation students have started arriving which will increase the attendance.
  • A large number of out-station final year students started a petition addressed to the vice-chancellor, proctor, registrar and the dean of students welfare asking the college to not reopen with just two months left for the current academic session. The Dean of Students Welfare assured that they were acknowledging all the concerns raised by the students.
