The Government of Maharashtra has decided to cut the school fees by 15 percent due to the pandemic and also due to the parents\’ demand for some relief in the school fees. It is a serious concern that many schools are profiteering even in this pandemic situation and this issue must be addressed immediately.
The Schools that are affiliated with various other education boards including the Maharashtra Board have confirmed with the state government that they will obey the rules regarding the slashing of the fees.
Meanwhile, nearly 6000 schools in the rural areas of Maharashtra have resumed offline education for classes 8 to 12 earlier this month due to the decrease in Covid-19 cases.
