The number of enrollments for BBA, BCA, and MBA nearly tripled to 72,400 enrolments in 2021-22.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) are two of the most popular online UG courses. A total of 13,764 students enrolled for the BBA course. Moreover, 5,166 and 4,028 students enrolled for BCA and Bachelor of Arts respectively.

Meanwhile, in the Masters of Business Administration (MBA), 28,956 students enrolled on the course. Thus, it remains the most preferred online programme. However, 5,430 and 3,300 students enrolled in the Masters of Computer Application and Masters of Commerce respectively. Applicants have been enrolled from India as well as abroad.

There is an increase in the number of students from 2020-21 to 2021-22. In 2020-21, a total of 25,905 students registered for online programmes. However, in 2021-2022, it has nearly tripled to 72,400 enrolments.

A window of opportunity is provided by online courses to students who are unable to join physically in a college or University. The number of enrolments in online programmes has been steadily increasing. Once the National Digital University is announced, this will boost further, giving rise to flexible online education regulations.

The maximum number of enrolments received by Deemed-to-be-universities is 36,860. This is followed by private universities which is 19,547 and central universities which is 6888.
