UGC has directed the Universities to Implement the Syllabus of Cyber Security Courses across the UG and PG levels.
The UGC has directed the universities and their affiliated colleges to implement the syllabus of Cyber Security courses. Universities must implement this across the UG and PG levels across all streams. The syllabus aims to create more aware, responsible and responsive digital citizens. This will contribute effectively to an overall healthy cybersecurity ecosystem.
The UGC has taken this step due to the importance of cyber security and for propagating cyber hygiene. Thus, necessary steps must be taken to implement the Syllabus at the UG and PG levels in all the streams of Universities and their affiliated or constituent Colleges.
The syllabus includes Introduction to Cyber Security, Social Media Overview and Security, Cyber Crime and Cyber Law, Digital Devices Security, e-Commerce and Digital Payments, and Tools and Technologies for Cyber Security.
UGC Cyber Security PG Program includes Cyber Law, Cyber Crimes, Cyber Security, Cyber Security Management, Data Privacy and Data Security, Compliance and Governance.
