- Gujarat University has stopped online classes and asked the students to attend the classes in person at full capacity from December 13 even though the government has not announced any measures to stop online classes.
- However, according to the prevailing government guidelines, only 50 percent can attend the classes and this is a disregard to government guidelines as the University has allowed the students to attend the classes without any restriction in numbers.
- According to the Government rules, attendance is not compulsory for in-person classes and thus, Gujarat University must resume online classes until the government issues guidelines for compulsory in-person classes.
