Global Employability University Ranking: THE

There are a total of six universities, this year, from the US. Two universities have been featured in the UK. Also, one university from Japan and one university from Singapore have been featured. The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has secured the top rank this year.

In the Global Employability University Ranking and Survey report of 2022, Seven Indian institutes have been featured. The Report is released by the Times Higher Education. In the top 100, three Indian institutions were featured.

The 29th position has been secured by IIT-Delhi. This ranking is followed by IISc Bangalore in the 58th rank. The third Indian Institute is IIT Bombay and it has been featured in the 72nd rank. Moreover, IIT-Kharagpur, the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore University and Amity University have secured spots in the top 250.

WORLD RANKINGS

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has earned the top rank which is similar to the last year. The second place is bagged by the California Institute of Technology followed by Harvard University in the third place. This is the second time in a row that the top three rankings have been secured by these places consequently.

The fourth position has been retained by the University of Cambridge and the fifth position has been retained by Stanford University. The University of Oxford has moved to the sixth position from the eighth position. The University of Tokyo from Japan has moved down to the seventh position from the sixth position this year.

The National University of Singapore has bagged the eighth position from the previously secured ninth position. Moreover, Princeton University has moved to the ninth position from the tenth position. However, there was a massive decline by Yale University from its seventh rank to 10th rank this year.

These countries include France, China, Spain, India, Germany, South Korea and Israel. Moreover, universities in mainland China are seeing a steady rise in their ranking. This is due to their strengths in graduate skills as well as their work experience.

HIGHEST CLIMBERS

Spain is the highest climber in the last two years among the universities in the Europe continent. Florida Institute of Technology has been the highest climber this year. It has climbed 85 places to the 76th rank.

According to the survey, it is seen that digital skills have become the most important factor that employers require since the Covid-19 pandemic. Moreover, work expertise and subject specialisation closely follow graduate skills. These are considered the important drivers of performance.
