- The foundation stone of a new academic block at Kamala Nehru College was laid by the Delhi University Vice-Chancellor as a part of the OBC infrastructure expansion plan. This block will consist of lecture halls and laboratories spread over three levels.
- The new block will be built over an area of 1250 sq. meters with a lecture hall on the ground floor with a green room and a seating capacity of 180 people. The ground floor will also consist of an equipment room, storeroom and toilets. The basement will consist of nine tutorial rooms, lockers and a staffroom and the mezzanine floor will have a loft and storerooms.
- Classrooms, a Terrace porch and a bridge to the existing buildings will be placed on the first floor and all classrooms will have smart facilities. This building will be environmentally friendly which will lead to an environmentally sustainable future.
- Due to the Covid-19 protocols, the number of attendees was limited and the program was live-streamed on the college\’s YouTube channel. The principal emphasized how digital technology was utilized by the college to continue the teaching and learning process during the pandemic.
- Students were helped by the college through Recharge the Learning Scheme in which students were helped to recharge data to continue their online classes without any disturbance. The Vice-Chancellor also spoke on the NEP and emphasized the need to encourage imagination, originality and creativity in the students. Teachers were asked to support the NEP and give their suggestions.
