DU to release its second merit list for 2022-2023

DU and JNU will be releasing their 2nd Merit List 2022 on du.ac.in and jnuee.jnu.ac.in websites respectively.

The Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University will be releasing their final seat allotment list at the official websites ugadmission.uod.ac.in and jnu.ac.in respectively.

By paying their admission fees, over 59,100 aspirants have confirmed their admission to Delhi University. Meanwhile, nearly all unreserved seats across UG courses in St. Stephen’s College were filled in the first round. For minority seats, admission is underway and there are nearly 450 seats across 11 UG courses.

Upgradation Window

Delhi University opened a two-day window to upgrade higher ‘programme and college combination’ preference for those who gained admission to UG courses. Those who have been allocated their first preference of course and college will not be facilitated with this option.

Following the conclusion of the first round, the university will display vacant seats. The candidates can then opt to upgrade their allotted seats. Candidates can opt to upgrade and re-order their higher preferences from Wednesday to Thursday.

By choosing the upgrade option, candidates are consenting to admission to a programme and college combination of their higher preference in the following round. The current admitted seat of the candidate will be auto-cancelled if a new preference is allocated.

Candidates can also reorder the programme and college combinations that were higher in preference when compared to the allocated one. Candidates who acquire an upgradation must accept the upgraded seat and finish the admission procedures.

If no activity is done on the upgraded seat, it will be cancelled and the candidate will be out of CSAS-2022. Candidates who wish to continue with their allocated seats must submit a freeze request after which the candidate will not be allowed to upgrade.

Special Counselling Round

The Central Seat Allocation Board has begun the special rounds of counselling today, i.e., 26 October 2022. The counselling will be conducted on the official website csab.nic.in. This round is conducted for the NIT+ system seats. This is because the seats remain vacant even after six rounds of JoSAA counselling. The process is different from those of JoSAA rounds.

Candidates must go to the official website csab.nic.in and enter their credentials. They must then fill in the choices and save and submit the application. Candidates must then download the application form for future reference.

The NIT+ system is a seat allocation process for admission to UG programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs and some GFTIs. The allotment result will be displayed on October 30 for round 1 and the result will be displayed on November 3 for round 2. From November 3 to 5, the candidates will have to report to the allotted institutions.
