Delay in Law admissions leaves the 1st year students anxious

Delay in Law admissions leaves the 1st year students anxious
  • Admissions to three and five-year law courses for the 2021-2022 batch are yet to end in Maharashtra at a time when universities across the state are planning their semester examinations. As law need extensive study, students and educators state that this will have a cascading effect on learning.
  • The cut-off date for admissions to a 5-year law course is February 11 and the cut-off date for admissions to a 3-year law course is February 22. Law admissions have been delayed the second year in a row due to the delay in the declaration of graduation results across the universities.
  • Students who have secured admissions or are in the process of doing so are anxious and feel that the delay may overload the academic year and the subjects may be taught in a rushed manner. The previous batch of students stated that during their first year, the syllabus could not be completed and the exams were held only for 70% of the portion.
