The students of BHU can apply for the internship by contacting the dean of their department.
The deadline to apply for the Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Internship has been extended by Banaras Hindu University till November 9. Eligible and interested students can apply through the dean of the respective departments.
The disciplines include Physical Education, Library Sciences, Performing arts, Education and visual arts. A stipend of Rs 20,000 per month is offered to the students for a year.
Moreover, the University selects interns depending on their qualifications and the opportunities available. Only BHU students who have passed PG courses in the respective subjects can apply for the internship, during the academic session 2021-22.
The University selects students on the basis of academic performance and interviews. The list below gives information on the number of seats across various disciplines.
Library science – 20 seats
- (Masters in Library and Information Science – 15 seats
- MCA/MSc Computers – 5 seats)
Physical Education – 20 seats
Education – 20 seats
- (MEd – 16 seats
- MEd (Special Education) – 4 seats)
Performing arts – 20 seats
- (Tabla – 11 seats,
- Vocals – 5 seats,
- Violin – 2 seats,
- Bharatnatyam – 1 seat,
- Kathak – 1 seat)
Visual arts – 20 seats
- (Painting – 5 seats
- Plastic art – 5 seats
- Applied arts – 4 seats
- Textile Design – 3 seats
- Pottery Ceramics – 3 seats)
The programme was announced on October 13 and is managed by the Sponsored Research Industrial Consultancy Cell.
