On May 16, for Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2023, the National Testing Agency issued the exam city intimation slip. Earlier, on May 14, the National Testing Agency released the city intimation slip for CUET exams that are scheduled to be conducted from May 21 to 24.

Release of admit cards for CUET UG 2023

The admit cards for Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2023 will be released soon by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Once the admit cards are released, students will be able to download them from the official website of CUET, cuet.samarth.ac.in. According to the official website, three days before the exam, the admit cards will be released. Therefore, CUET UG 2023 admit cards are expected to be released by May 18 or 19. Below is some information about the examination that you must know before NTA releases the admit card.

Examination dates – Extension to reserved dates

This year, the National Testing Agency will be conducting CUET UG 2023 from May 21 to 31. June 1 to 7, 2023 have been kept as the reserve dates. The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. As the admit cards for CUET UG 2023 will be released three days before the exam, the admit cards will be released in a phased manner.

Increase in the number of candidates and participating universities registered for CUET UG 2023

According to the data released by the National Testing Agency, over 16.85 lakh candidates, this year, have registered for the entrance exam. This number is 4 lahks more than the numbers of its debut year. Additionally, there is an increase in the number of female candidates by nearly 50 per cent. In addition to this, even the number of male candidates increased by 34 per cent.

Above all, there is an increase seen in the number of participating universities too. In 2022, i.e., its debut year, 90 universities participated. However, this year, in 2023, the number of participating universities rose to 242. From this significant rise, it can be seen that, for admissions to UG programs, CUET UG is becoming a popular option.

Release of City Intimation slips for exams conducted from May 25 to 28

Moreover, the National Testing Agency, which is the exam conducting body, informed further that in some cities, the number of candidates who have registered for the exam is very large. Therefore, the exam dates have been extended to June 1 and 2 as well as June 5 and 6. Further, buffer or reserved dates have also been assigned as June 7 and 8 in case of any last-minute changes.

According to a statement by the NTA, the City Intimation Slip displays the date, subjects/ Test Papers, the shift of the examination, and medium chosen during the time of filling out the online Application Form. Some candidates who have chosen subjects other than the ones displayed in the City Intimation Slip will be issued another city intimation slip subsequently.
