After a series of events in the course of history, the College was established in 1885 and was named the Andhra Christian College in 1928. The College started its Evening College in 1967.

The College consists of 3 hostels with 2 hostels for men and 1 hostel for women. The hostels consist of all the modern amenities which include a Kitchen and a Dining Hall.
