Avinashilingam University also known as Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for women, Coimbatore was established in 1957 by Dr.T.S.Avinashilingam. It was declared a Deemed-to-be-University under Section 3 of the UGC Act in June 1988. It was Re-accredited with an ‘A’ Grade by NAAC.
