- Admissions could not be held during the last academic session at the College of Art due to the tussle between Delhi University and Delhi Government over the affiliation. However, the government issued a notification stating that the lieutenant governor has agreed to merge College of Arts with Ambedkar University.
- As COA was facing many problems, the government announced that COA would be affiliated with AUD. Earlier, the executive council rejected the proposal of the government and stressed the COA should remain affiliated with DU.
- However, with the new vice-chancellor of DU taking this matter in hand, he agreed with the de-affiliation of COA from DU and thus, COA merges with AUD. The admission process for Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts will begin from the academic session 2022-2023.
