In addition to this, the NTA has clarified that the regional languages will be available only in specific exam centres. For instance, Only in the examination centres in Assam, Assamese will be available. Moreover, examination centres in Punjab, Chandigarh and New Delhi/ Delhi (including Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurugram, Meerut, and Noida/ Greater Noida) will allow Punjabi as their medium of instruction.

Clarification was issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA) regarding the medium of the question paper of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2023. At the NEET UG official website, neet.nta.nic.in, the official notice is available. It has been clarified by the NTA that the candidates who opt for the English medium would be provided with a test booklet which is completely in the English language.

However, candidates opting for Hindi as their medium of examination will be provided with a bilingual test booklet, i.e., questions will appear in both English and Hindi. Similarly, candidates who have opted for regional languages would be provided with a test booklet that is bilingual and contains English along with the selected regional language.

In addition to this, the NTA has clarified that the regional languages will be available only in specific exam centres. For instance, Only in the examination centres in Assam, Assamese will be available. Moreover, examination centres in Punjab, Chandigarh and New Delhi/ Delhi (including Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurugram, Meerut, and Noida/ Greater Noida) will allow Punjabi as their medium of instruction.

However, candidates need not worry as English will be available as a medium of instruction at all NEET UG 2023 exam centres. Also, only in exam centres located in India, Hindi and Urdu are available. In West Bengal, Tripura and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bengali is available. Gujarat, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli will allow Gujrati.

Kannada is only available in exam centres in Karnataka. Similarly, Marathi is available only in Maharashtra and Odia is available only in Odisha. In Kerala and Lakshadweep, Malayalam is available. Tamil is available in Tamil Nadu, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Puducherry. Telugu is available as a medium of examination in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
