As the Covid-19 cases reduce, The Chhattisgarh government is reopening its schools on August 2 for the students of Classes 10 and 12 with 50 percent occupancy. Students will attend the classes on alternate days and the online classes will continue as before as physical classes are not mandatory.
Students must get the necessary permission from their parents to attend the physical classes. Residential schools and hostels are also allowed to be reopened by the cabinet in the tribal-dominated Bastar division.
However, in areas where there are no Covid cases, the decision is to be taken by the Panchayats after consulting the parents while in urban areas, the corporations concerned will also have to discuss with the parents and make a decision.
All Industrial Training Institutes will also begin on August 2 but the Medical, engineering and polytechnic colleges will be reopened in phases.
