- The Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University announced on the occasion of Republic Day that a Mathematics Museum will be established on the campus so that the students from classes IV to XII can be taught mathematics through games.
- Earlier, a science park was set up in SPPU to inculcate love for science in children from an early age. A flag hoisting ceremony was held in the SPPU campus on the occasion of Republic Day and various awards given by the university were announced on this occasion.
- During the flag hoisting ceremony, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr N.S. Umrani, Management Council Member Rajesh Pandey, Registrar Dr Prafulla Pawar, Dean Dr Parag Kalkar, Head of Innovation Center Apoorva Palkar were all present.
