Maharashtra Government signs MoU to boost employment

TISS and Maharashtra government sign MoU to boost employment and vocational training to meet the objective of NEP 2020.

Samagra Shiksha, Government of Maharashtra has signed an MoU with the School of Vocational Education, Tata Institute of Social Science. The MoU is signed under the Maharashtra Young Leaders Aspiration Development Program in Mumbai.

It has aimed to provide employment and vocational training in Maharashtra to 15,000 students of Class 12. The MoU aims to meet the objective listed under the National Education Policy 2020. It is to take vocational education to 50% of the schools by 2025.

TISS-SVE has partnerships with 3750 industries that are located across India. They represent various skill sectors and impart training to the students by practical methods. Moreover, over 200 service providers and 500 Domain experts help in strengthening the entire ecosystem of vocational education.
