- Kirori Mal College affiliated with the Delhi University has launched an online certificate course on disability research named “An Introduction to Disability Research: A Legal and Social Studies Perspective” in collaboration with the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People.
- Students and Research scholars pursuing their UG or PG courses from any university or college in India can participate in the program with a nominal fee and the Centre for Disability Research and Training of Kirori Mal College will impart lessons virtually.
- The course will be of two credits spread over nine weeks with three classes every week which is been conveniently designed so that students can accommodate it with their regular classes. The course has been designed to create awareness among the people about the needs and concerns of persons with disabilities and build a more inclusive and accessible world for all.
- This course has been mainly launched to popularize disability studies among the youth and to address the issues of the disabled with a holistic approach towards empowerment. This initiative will also provide mental training to the youth that will help them to move towards an inclusive and egalitarian society.
