CBSE Board to conduct examinations for private candidates

Since the CBSE board does not have any previous assessment record for private candidates, The board exams for the students of Classes 10 and 12 are to be held from August 16 to September 15 as per the policy devised by the supreme court.

To avoid difficulty in acquiring admission for higher education, the result of private candidates will be declared in the minimum possible time. Therefore, the University Grants Commission will synchronize the admission schedule based on the result of these students.

In the case of regular students, the schools have records of internal assessments such as the unit tests and pre-board examination whereas for the private students, there are no records based on which they could be assessed. Thus, tabulation policy cannot be implemented for the private students just as it is done for the regular ones.
