(Hons.) as having in-depth knowledge in the particular subject will help the student in post-graduation.  A student gets the opportunity to learn more and know about the field which will help in achieving more knowledge and experience.

Moreover, a student who opts for B.Sc. (Hons.) is provided with good job opportunities in the fields of research and development. Scholarships are offered for B.Sc. graduates by the government in order to strengthen the research sector and as the government takes an interest in research and development, students can be confident about a promising career in their future.

Students are also given the opportunity to explore other fields such as administration, law, engineering and more in both higher education and job sectors.

Students learn about Science more in detail in a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree and the primary aim of this course is to impart scientific knowledge and skills to students through various methodologies. The course helps the students in understanding scientific facts which can be used to create something new and find various solutions in their professional lives.

B.Sc. (Hons.) course is for a duration of three years. Students must fulfil their eligibility criteria in order to be selected for B.Sc. (Hons.) course. Students who wish to pursue a B.Sc. (Hons.) degree must have completed 10+2 with at least 55 per cent aggregate marks in the science stream whose core is formed by Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

An additional eligibility criterion is required for certain colleges and institutions that a student needs to comply with in order to gain admission. Students of reserved categories must show the necessary documents that support their claims. Moreover, the students will have to score the minimum percentage in the qualifying examinations.

There are several entrance examinations that a student must clear to get into colleges and institutions such as Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT), VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE), SRM Joint Engineering Examination (SRMJEE) and Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).
