Admission procedure in Delhi Technological University

The Delhi Technological University begins its admission process on the first week of August and the process is likely to go on until the mid of August. The University is a non-affiliating Teaching-cum-Research University and offers 70 courses across all the streams.

Eligibility criteria :

The admission process is done through online mode for all the courses except for Ph.D., B.Tech. Evening and Executive MBA which is done offline. The Basic Eligibility criteria for the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses vary according to the specialization.

The Delhi Technological University offers 15 specializations in full-time B.Tech. course and the candidates who wish to apply must have minimum eligibility of passing 10+2 with 60 per cent aggregate from a recognized board. However, the final admission is based on the JEE Main score that is followed by Joint Admission Counselling. 

The admissions for B.Tech. Evening course is based on the performance in the entrance test. For Foreign Nationals and NRI, the admissions are done through Direct Admission of Student Abroad (DASA) and the JEE Main ranks are considered for their admissions.

The Eligibility criteria for B.B.A., B.A. (Hons.) and B.Des. are that the candidate must have passed 10+2 with 50 per cent aggregate and the merit list will be based on the total scores of the best 4 subjects including English as one of the subjects.

The Eligibility for M.Tech. is to have passed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 60 per cent marks aggregate. The candidates who have qualified GATE are eligible for admission and no additional interviews or tests will be conducted by the University. 

However, the candidates who wish to get admitted in Part-Time or Full-Time Sponsored M.Tech. are required to clear the entrance examination conducted by Delhi Technological University.

The Eligibility criteria for M.B.A. in various specializations is to have passed Bachelor’s degree with at least 60 per cent marks in aggregate. Students are selected on the basis of their CAT score and their performance in the interview. 

For admissions into Ph.D. programs, candidates must have passed a Master’s degree in the relevant stream or equivalent with a minimum of 60 per cent aggregate. Candidates are selected on the basis of the Screening Test and Interview.

Documents required for admissions :

The Candidates are required to have the basic documents that include the 10th mark sheet, 12th mark sheet, Government ID, Community Certificate and Migration Certificate. However, for Postgraduate courses, the students are required to have a UG certificate and mark sheet as an extra document.

For admissions into B.Tech., the candidates are required to submit the JEE rank card and for admissions into B.Des., candidates are required to submit the UCEED rank card. The Candidates who are selected will be intimated through the selection list.
