Adaption of Higher Education towards emerging challenges

The Prime Minister of India advised the heads of institutions through video conferencing on adapting higher education to the emerging challenges and changing environment. He also asked the centrally funded technical institutions to develop innovative models to meet future needs.
The Prime Minister requested for imparting the technological education in Indian Languages and also translate global journals into regional languages. He considers the education sector as a social investment and said that it must be accessible and affordable with good quality and that focus must be given to the youth, women and the deprived section.
In the coming years, he said that the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan” will form the basis of dreams and aspirations of India and technological and R & D institutions will play a major role in the upcoming decade. He also appreciated the research and development work done by the institutions to overcome the challenges posed by the Covid-19 crises and the young innovators towards providing solutions.
He also underlined the need to shift towards the kind of education which is seamless, flexible and provides learning opportunities according to the learner’s requirements. India has now conferred a new education policy that will take a great leap in fostering an environment for future India.
