Andhra University was established in the year 1926 by Sir C.R. Reddy. The University is accredited by NAAC with an ‘A\’ grade and the first University in the country to get ISO 9001: 2000 Certification in 2006. The University is presently providing Educational needs to five districts of Andhra Pradesh namely Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Vizinagaram and Srikakulam where 365 affiliated colleges are located.
