Taking this into consideration, the capacity of the universities is being increased by the Delhi Government. Moreover, these new campuses will address the academic needs of varying nature of all the students.
In order to increase the number of seats, the Delhi government is establishing two new campuses of Ambedkar University. This initiative will also prioritize the re-conceptualization of technical institutes. The minister, after reviewing projects for higher education, instructed officials to prepare an action plan in order for the expansion and modernization of all technical education institutions and universities of the government of Delhi.

Currently, through education, the government of Delhi is working with a vision of changing the country. More than 26,000 students will be able to get admission after the Dheerpur and Rohini campuses of the university are ready. The Dheerpur, as well as Rohini campus, will have multi-storey academic blocks, a health center, a convention block, an administrative block, an auditorium, an amphitheater, a library block, a guest house, and separate hostels for girls and boys. Moreover, Residential units will be constructed.
For 10,000 students in Industrial Training Institute, two state-of-the-art academic blocks will be constructed. The Education Minister of Delhi reviewed the first phase of the project. In the current 19 Industrial Training Institutes of the government of Delhi, there a total of 11,000 seats. According to the Directorate of Education, more than 30,000 applications are received every year.
